too bad it was one of our "pet" gerbils, but hey, after so long, we aren't complaining. He Just finished a shed, so we thought "what the heck, he USED to eat gerbils, why not try him one one."
hopefully after a few feedings, we can see if he'll eat scented f/t rats instead of live gerbils.
