I can barely see it on my monitor, but from the first pic I would have to guess some kind of carpet python???

Looks like a striped coastal carpet.

Good choice on snake! Docile, pleasant earth tone colours, cool design, easy to feed, fun to grow!

First thanx to everyone! Yes, It's a Queensland or coastal carpet python. I'm also interested hearing from members who have or do still own this breed of snake and what experiences have they had with them (set up, habits, etc.)?

They're easy to tame down. Eats lots and grow wickedly fast on rats. I'd start yours on rats right away, that way it isn't picky when it grows up. I know many carpets can be mice only feeders when they grow up and that a real big pain.

I love striped coastals, could you post more pics that show the stripe more??

He's already feeding on a rat pup or two. On him being tame so far he hasn't tried to chew on me yet? When I went to my friends LPS to get him his tank buddy a none striped Queensland CP was trying to hit my hand every time as I was trying to retrieve my striped out. Boy his buddy had a nasty, nasty attitude!
