Absolutely not... it is super tame but very active. I was merely trying to position it for the photo.

LOL!... I plead guilty on that charge.

It was supposed to be male but I haven't noticed any spurs and it has grown from 3.5 feet to just over 10 feet in the past 14.5 months so I am not sure.
