My Gargantuan freak, Morpheus. :)

Well, I was finally able to get some "scaled" pics of Morpheus for the skeptics. He's the biggest corn snake I've ever personally handled, but I know there are a LOT of corns out there.

Here's him in front of a 4 FOOT wide terrarium:

Snake measuring tool gave me a total length of 64.2 inches with this pic.

And here's me trying to hold him for more perspective. Keep in mind I'm 5'9".

What is the "normal" range of length for corn snakes to grow to?
My 9 month old is almost 3 ft!

not fat, and not power fed, she gets appropriate sized rats (which in her case is 2wk old rats) every 7-8 days.

And she is ALWAYS crusing around for more, she is a PIG.

Wow sapphire! You've got a pretty big corn on your hands! I know some two year old corns that are just reaching 3 feet. My 7 month old corn is about 2 feet.

If they are fed well, they can certainly achieve 3 feet in the first year. Unfortunately, the year after that, they slow down on length and start building up girth. However, with more and more people abandoning the "Equal to the girth" rule, I think you're going to see more Morpheus-sized corns in the near future. :)

They start GAINING GIRTH? She HAS girth.

It takes her about 1.5 day(s) to lose the lump after eating. She is in shed now (and don't get fed while in shed).
