As some of you may recall i have recently purchased a bp in dire need of a loving keeper. well i have had Petunia for over a week now, and he ate for me last night. i was told that it has been seven months since he has eaten, and i am proud that i broke it. im excited. it took a while though, ended up just leaving it for an hour or two, then when i checked on him the rat was gone, BUT he had some aspen sticking out of his mouth! i removed it and checked the rest of his mouth and throught and found nothing. do you think that he could pass a bit of aspen, he's about four feet and almost 1kg. thanx

Good job! :D
He should be fine if he swallows a bit of aspen. Don't make a habit of it though. :)

Hey don’t worry too much about the aspen, the small amount she ate should pass, mine has eaten a bit of Substrate before, now I use Astroturf for all my cages, (all my snakes any way), they never eat it and its the cleanest thing I've used yet, If ends up getting the aspen every time maybe you should consider switching, Good luck,
Devon
