Oh, by the way, don't you have a website somewhere or am I imagining things? I'd love to get in touch with more of the herpers here in WA.

Trevor: Apparently, I just spoke to a man that made up the laws on reptiles and whats legal and whatnot in alberta, and I asked him about the legality of rubber boas. He said that unless they were captive bred, in the united states, they were illegal in Canada. So no canadian captive breds, or wild-caughts.

BEAUTIFUL RUBBERS!

They are protected in Washington state, like they are in western Canada. You're not supposed to have them, and washington rubbers can't be exported either.
I know of a CITES application that was turned down, because the origin of the specimens was Washington.
I legally imported Rubbers from California. That was tricky as well, as they can be kept there, and bred but not sold.
My specimens were a gift, and came on the same CITES with some sand boas.
It's quite difficult obtaining legal Rubber boas in Canada because like Chris stated they must be captive born in the US in a state that allows it, and they must be granted CITES 2 permits to leave the country. Since they are inexpensive there are few captive breeders, and even fewer willing or capable of getting export permits for them.

Beautiful Rubbers! Too bad they're illegal to keep here in Alberta. :(
