Hello,
my male kenyan has breed my female the last month.
I think I saw the ovulation but I'm not sure, because my female is really big! So, now she is more slim than this time.
I think I saw this ovulation around the first week of april.
The problem is that she doesn't have post ovulation shed.
But, she refuse to eat since two week, and before, she doesn't refuse a meal!
What do you think about this?

Thanks

Gravid females will seek out a hot spot of about 92F if they have conceived. Watch for that and make sure you offer such a hot spot. They will usually stayed glued to that spot for weeks on end. Females that don't go to the heat aren't gravid.. its that simple
Some of my Kenyans are starting to breed, and its a bit early for them this year.
It's quite possible yours ovulated. I don't really
pay attention to sheds in boas. I didn't even know there was a post ovulation shed.. really??
I'm usually packing the food to them pre ovulation so they often shed anyway.

They normally eat through most of their pregnancy, although only small meals. They seem to know that consticting large meals could hurt the babies.

It takes 3 to 4 months before babies are born.
Fertile matings in April and May should bring babies in Aug and September.
Mine are almost always born in September.

Thanks!!
Yes, she is always on the heat pad!
I'll stop to wait for the shed! :)
I'll offer her a smallest prey, maybe it's because the prey are too big.
Thanks
