what is the best hide spot for these guys
i use an opaque rubbermaid container with a hole cut out of the side, or turn in over and cut a door out of the side
Works great for my BPs
Snakes are Thigmatrophic, which means they like tight, dark places. I have a hide in the warm side of the tank, a hide in the cool side, and when he's shedding a humid box about the middle. All of them are made to fit his size. Snakes feel safest when their cave touches them all the way around.
Isn't that cute .. the cave is hugging him.:p

The best hide box I have found is an overturned clay pot. I simply take a hammer and chip away at the hole underneath and when the hole is big enough I take some sand paper and smooth the edges.
They work like a charm and are very inexpensive.

thank u all
we use cork bark for the hide box.
for tank size i've always gone with the width+depth= length of the snake as a minimum and the height is variable depending on the snake

I've head that the base that goes with a clay pot (looks like a big plate) is really good. It's lower than a pot so it touches them all around like Quervo said.
