i wasd wondering if a emerald tree boa we be ok in a 45 gal tank when it is full grown
and if u have to have a light cycle/like 12hours on 12 off type thing/

A 45 gallon tank is a good amount of space for an adult emerald. Are you standing it on it end or just having it normal. Yes you should do a 12/12 cycle of light, as when the lights go down thats when emeralds come alive. Then when they come alive it is way easier to feed them. Hope this helps Richard Welter

I would suggest if you are using overheat lighting for heat to get a porcelin bulb and run it 24/7 and keep it at a steady 82 degree ambient temperature if your night time temps are dropping below 75... if you do it this way or the other way, the natural light that enters your room if you haver a fair sized window is more then enough light for your emmy and will give it a very natural light cycle.
