This is a pic of my male bp osiris, I tried to upload it as an avatar but it won't let me and I don't have a photo editer to resize it just crop it. So I'll show him here.

If you have Windows, then you should have Paint. Go to START --> PROGRAMS --> ACCESSORIES --> PAINT.

Once in paint, open your photo, then go to IMAGE --> SKETCH/SKEW and adjust the numbers in the 2 top boxes. If the picture is too large, you will need to reduce the numbers. They are percentages. If you put in 80 in both boxes, then pictures will reduce to 80% of it's original size.

Once you have adjusted the picture to a size you think is suitable go to IMAGE --> ATTRIBUTES and check the pixel count. For an avatar, the picture cannot be bigger then 100x100 pixels. If it is the right size, save the image as a .JPG file format then upload as your avatar.
