I have so much anger inside me now towards the Sens. I will say this though...the leafs HAD to win this game because they are an older team...they cant be going deep into series every year. I wont be watching game 7 cuz I cant stand the tension and anxiety. LOL......at least there will be one Canadian team that goes on for sure.
Cheers, Ryan

It was a good game, but honestly I have to say that two things I'm tired of are:

1) The wonderful bits of acting by Senators players when they get tapped lightly or shoved a little bit and then fall to the ground like there was an earthquake.

2) That preppy looking geek in the suit who sings the national anthem and then starts twirling his piece of toilet paper....I mean, what is that anyways? Do they not get enough fibre in Ottawa?
;)

Good game though Senators, anyone could have taken it and that kept things exciting.

I think that for game 7 to be in Toronto is heaven...I can't wait until I see the 1st Leaf goal-which will most likely be the winner, go in "and the fans will FREAK OUT" for once...(hopefully the CBC got my e-mail about the fans in the last game at the ACC) and we will do what is fitting and win on home ice...and I don't think Mr.Alfredsson figured into either of Ottawa's goals tonight...DING-DING...ROUND 7 !!!!!

game 6's have been very exciting. It about time they hit a little.

all I'm gonna say....Sen's and vancouver.....

Vancouver will be extremely lucky if they get past Calgary this year....the Flames are too hungry to go out in the first round after a seven year playoff absence, and Vancouver will never win it all until they fix their goaltending problem.....losing Bert isn't helping them either.

if you're implying the goal was cause by Aki Berg, you might wanna have a look at the replay and see why the guy who scored (i think it was Fishcer) wasn't covered.. Reichel let his man go to the net.. Feel really sorry for Belfour, the guy has been playing his heart and has been the lone reason the Leafs are even in the series and the guys wont give him any goal support..

Mats should play tomorrow, i would love to see a line of Sundin, Mogilny and Roberts reunited for this game.. If Mats isnt back, i think we HAVE to see, Nieuwendyk, Roberts and Mogilny if they plan on scoring more then one goal..

I dunno. Judging my last nights period three and overtime, Ottawa will be hard to beat if they continue to play like that.

IF they continue to play like that.. I think both teams are Hurting.. Ottawa came out Hungry in Overtime.. If Toronto would have shown up in the first three periods, Ottawa woudln't have won, the last two games now, Ottawa's played a weird game, sitting back and not generating much in scoring chances.. However, had Ottawa come out and played their game, overtime wouldn't have been needed, so who knows what two teams will show up tomorrow night..

I dunno. It seemed that you guys only scored last night off an Ottawa skate - lol .. same with your first goal the night before.
Toronto miiiight win tomorrow, but wont get past the next round. You guys are too old to go deep into series like this, and it will show (LOL @ Tucker).

Tucker is playing with severly bruised ribs. The fact that he's even playing speaks volumes of the guys heart and sheer dedication to his team.. I wouldn't count Chara's goal last night as a highlight reel goal.. Nor would i count Ottawa's first goal of the series as one.. There have been some UGLY goals for both teams, but that's besides the point.. Toronto vs. Ottawa has easily been the most physical of all the series.. I think if the Leafs can get passed Ottawa, they will be just fine.. And if Ottawa get's passed Toronto, they too, will be just fine..

All I want out of this series, is for someone to beat the hell out of Alfredson and Chara. Alfredson the most, he is such a stuck up, arrogance SOB. I think Torontos best attribute for this game seven is the fans. We all know how toronto fans are. Now, imagine a game 7, in Toronto. I can't wait.

1) The wonderful bits of acting by Senators players when they get tapped lightly or shoved a little bit and then fall to the ground like there was an earthquake.

Amen. The refereeing in general has aggrivated me throughout the series.

I dunno. Judging my last nights period three and overtime, Ottawa will be hard to beat if they continue to play like that.

I think its more of, if LEAFS keep playing like that. They don't seem to be putting much effort fourth. It is not necessarily that Ottawa is playing amazing games, its the lack thereof on Torontos part. I think this will change for this last game, though.

I dunno. It seemed that you guys only scored last night off an Ottawa skate - lol .. same with your first goal the night before.

As far as I am concerned, a goal is a goal. And is the result of defence or the goalie making a mistake, either way. Just like I can say Charas goal was a ****** one. The last one was pretty decent.

Well said.

No one can beat the hell out a Chara, he is a massive giant, he would eat any leaf alive in 5 seconds.

I think Stajan could take him!! LOL.. Kidding ofcourse, but honestly, if he ever dropped the gloves with Belak, it would be over for him.. He's big, he's strong, but he couldn't ragdoll Belak the way he did McCabe.. And Belak knows how to throw, Chara doesn't...

Chara is like a big Oak tree...all you need is the right axe...and I think the leafs will be (if they work at it) able to knock him down with relative ease...they've done it before in the series...just get him pissed off...then it's off to the box with him...there are differences between the 2 teams but they are differences that keep them close all game...if Toronto decided to shoot more on Lalime, they may find they can score more than 1 goal a game. Although he may do better with more shots like belfour is and Cujo did...we will see.....and GO LEAFS GO!!! (I loved hearing the GO SENS GO chant in Ottawa...you could tell that they were trying to drown out the REAL leafs fans starting it up)

There both good temas and were garanteeed a second canadian team in teh play offs .. wich is all good but BUT >>

I reallly hope for once that Ottawa eliminates toronto!!! They've earned it!

GO SENS GO!

Matt_K
04-19-04, 10:35 PM
Earned it how exactly??? By beating a team that they should have anyway?? Or by finishing behind the Leafs in regular season standings??? In all seriousness, Ottawa, has a younger and more skilled team then Toronto line for line.. If they do beat Toronto, i don't think anyone would be suprised.. I know i wouldn't, cause it was/is expected, but i still think Toronto will prevail, as they just have too much character in the locker and on the ice, let's just hope the boys in blue bring that with them to the rink!! It's going to be one hell of a game, i already have butterflies!!

Belfour has played an INCREDIBLE series, but the rest are far too slow. Sens could definatly pull it off, i expect em too.

RIGHT ON Montreal!

LOL - lets not remind you of the second bigest man in the nhl Gill. Considered to be one of the best fighters in the nhl (6'7 250) ended up with 17 stiches above the eye after Chara hit with only 3 punch. Belak ... LOL

You apparently haven't been watching the Calgary vs. Vancouver series. That is some of the best physical playoff hockey I've ever seen. So Flames vs. Red Wings. This should be good!!!!

Jab him in the eyeball with the end of a hockey stick, then spear his @$$. Worse comes to worse, they can tag team the big ugly...guy. :) Ok fine, I will be happy if they beat the hell out of Alfredson only... Also, size is not everything...

Something deep down is telling me Toronto is going to win, I don't know why, just a gut feeling.

And tell me this, who would win a fight between Gill and Belak??

Brashear and Laroque are prolly the two toughest guys in the league.. Have you seen Belak fight them?? I know i have, and he didn't lose.. And i have also seen Chara back down from Laraque cause he knew he was out of his league.. Belak is a legit tough guy, Chara isn't.. Not until he fights someone who has more then 45 Penalty minutes.. Hal Gill is tough, yes.. But not a legit NHL enforcer.. If he was, Boston wouldn't have got out and gotten Doug Doull..

Damn, i just had a big reply written out about Hal Gill, when i hit submit, my connection screwed up..

Here's the gist of it.. Hal Gill had 5 fighting majors this year.. He won one of those fights.. Against Matthew Barnaby.. He lossed to Zdeno Chara and Adam Mair.. He had draws against Jody Shelley and Sheldon Souray..

Now we all know that Barnaby is no more intimidating then a Punching Bag, but he just absorbs the shots.. And what's equally sad, Barnaby could beat up Mair.. LOL..

That's not at all to say that Gill is not tough, he is.. I have seen a lot of his fights and he is big and strong, but comparing him to Belak is like comparing the skill level of Wayne Gretzky to Pat Quinn.

The games last night were awesome and the one tonight wont dissapoint I'm sure. I'm thinking Ronny is going to be playing some hockey tonight.
Barnaby is hilarious, has he ever won a fight? At least he has more skill than most "tough" guys.
I heard Chara in junior was known for his one punch knockouts.

Matt_K
04-20-04, 01:21 PM
Chara would be hard as hell to fight, his arms are like 6' long.. LMAO

Barnaby's a pretty good fighter apparently... He's tough as nails, there's no question about that..
