hi how meany times should a spotted python shed in a month i'v had my for 4 months now and she haven't shed one yet? is that normal?
There is no set schedule for a snake of any species to be shedding. Snakes at different stages in their lives will shed at different frequencies. There are many different factors that come in to play, such as age, feeding, growth, temperatures, and general health. A snake on medication or affected by external irritations (such as mites or burns) may shed excessively, while a snake in very poor health may not shed enough. We need more information if we can help you decide whether it is normal or not. Age? Setup? Feeding? Growth? Does everything else seem to be normal? Defecating ok? Active?
