So today, after patiently waiting and researching for probably a month, I bought my sand boa!! Its a kenyan sand boa and is quite tiny :) Took some pics before i put him in his tank because i dont want to disturb him again for the next 2 weeks to let him settle in. Heres one of him/her and its tank...Im hoping its male so i can call him Oscar :D Im so happy, i was going to get the rough scaled but i decided not to because with the 55 dollars i saved i bought everything else i needed, so for me..it was the better deal. Thanks for looking!
What did you guys get from the show??

Ive been planning to go and everything for like a month but because of the crazy storm this morning in Burlington I had to do a little clean up after it knocked down some tree parts on my house. So then I couldnt go, with rides and such. Oh the Humanity. Hope everyone had fun, cya there next time.

I have always been meaning to go for that last few years and I wasn't planning on going today, either, but there I was for the first time. I finally got to meet Neil Meister of uroplatus fame and I picked up a couple uroplatus from him. By far, the small selection he was selling today was the most beautiful collection of uroplatus I have seen in real life (and I haven't seen many).
I wanted to stay for his lecture but unfortunately, my reasons for not planning to go today were the same ones that forced me to leave only 1 hour into being there.
But I'll be back in June!
I couldn't go, but Jim will hopefully be picking up a beauty snake for me. Did anyone see any there?

I treated myself to an adorable female black widow who I named "Shelob". We just got back to Montreal half an hour ago so I don't have pictures yet. I will soon, though!
Nice looking little one there~
I did manage to grab an orange brazilian rainbow boa 'female' but when I got home to do the probing...well..it 'turned' into a male....lol~~

Adam, don't be surprised if your new Kenyan(it's one of mine) doesn't eat in that tank. You might want to read some of my posts in the Erycine forum.
That tank is a bit big for a neonate , and it probably wont find food or that high water bowl. Also be advised that they will climb straight up the silicone corner bead and go around the top looking for the smallest crack. Escapes are common from aquariums so check that the lid fits snuggly with no cracks.
I raise them for months right in 16 oz deli containers. Like this
