I've gotten my first Ball python eggs of the season. The first clutch was my largest clutch that I've ever had...........14 eggs! I couldn't believe it! These were laid on Tuesday from the father of the Red Axanthics bred to a normal. On average 1/2 will be Hets and 1/2 will be normals.

The second clutch was laid today. 8 eggs from my Red Axanthic bred to a normal. She's got a very nice pattern to her for a normal.

I thought I'd just throw in these last 2 pics. This is my gravid green ghost...........I'm not really sure what type of ghost she is. She could either be a green ghost or a very old Orange Ghost (she is over 14 years old). She was bred by my Super Pastel.

Last but not least a little Orange Ghost female. I hope to produce these this year (a couple clutches are on the way).

To answer that you have to know that the "father of the Red Axanthics" is a het red axanthic (i.e. an adherent black back). Het X normal = about 50/50 hets.

I think the record is somewhere around 16 - 18 but this girl came darn close.

Father was a 100% het, right... duh! I should have been able to piece that together myself but I thought I had read that the father was a red axanthic. My mistake (naturally!).

I read it the same way the first couple times, thinking the father was a red axanthic. Later I remembered (I think) that Corey purchased the original pair of black back hets from Snake Keeper. Wonder if they held on to any of that project? I'm don't even remember for sure if they where said to be captive bred or not. Just goes to show that you never know ...
