Hey, I just have too complain about this sort of thing, I guy down the road recently picked up a baby red tail, he got it because he had large aquarium that once was home too some large exotic salt water fish. Now I’m not normally the type to judge people but considering the fact the reason the fish is gone is because he got bored and drunk one night and grabbed the thing out of its tank deciding it would be fun too fill it full of fire crackers, and blow it up in his living room, and how i heard about the boa, is because some people were laughing about when they were up there drinking he took it out, and they decided too get harass it so bite his nipple (obvious Jack A$$ fans), i really hate knowing he has that animal, and I’m dreading the day when he gets bored of it and it ends up like the fish, just so he can buy another pet and continue the trend. It just makes me sick that some people can get animals, makes me sort of wish there were more laws making it so only people who SHOULD own animals are allowed, Just had too complain,

Well.....what he did is considered animal abuse. Perhaps you should inform the proper authorities about the situation, perhaps even get them to let you give it a good home.

I've considered that option, actually I even considered purchasing the animal, at a price higher then what he paid just too get it out of his care, but he purchased it from a pet store who’s mark up is around 400 % some times (crazy isn’t it), and I cant afford too pay that for another animal just too rescue it. As for the authorities, there is no proof real proof, from what I understand unless the animal looks mistreated can’t do anything on accusations? He wouldn't have had it long enough too show any signs of mistreatment.

Damn, that sucks. Have you tried educating the guy on how to properly care for the snake? I know talking to some people is like talking to a brick wall, but its worth a try.

If you knew the guy you'd understand better, he couldn't care less for the animal, (obviously considering the previous pets final moments) so talking would do nothing, its not he doesn’t know how too care for its that he regards it as a novelty, not a living creature. If at the time it'll be entertaining too blow up an animal then that’s what happens (the fish). Just how he is.

I would suggest that you befriend the guy and then talk up owning rattlesnakes.
If we're all lucky he'll get one, get drunk one night and get himself bitten, doing the worlds of both animals and humans a giant favour. What a ****.
Yeah id try to get some animal activists involved. Lets just hope he doesnt hurt the animal because lets face it if the boa gets big eventually and he gets a little rowdy that snake is gonna get some revenge and that type of reputation hurts the reputation of honorable pet owners.
