A little early, but I'm not complaining :)

Day 92 after post ovulation shed at 6:47 pm Eastern, 19 bouncing baby Hog's (and 4 sweet potatoes).
She's been kind of restless the past few days and I was guessing she was going to go early, but I really didn't have anything to compare to. I was lucky enough to catch the whole thing starting with the first baby :)

Needless to say, I'm pretty excited!

How sweeet it is!
How old is the female and how big is she? Did you cool them or not etc? What ever you can share about the experience would be great!
Congrats,

I haven't had the female since she was a baby, but from what I was told and able to track, she is four years this spring. She is surely one big girl coming in at close to six feet, and quite girthy. She is from a VERY long term established lineage started back in the early 90's, I believe.

I did cool them, but only by cutting the heat at night. Night temps didn't drop much below 70-75°F. After about a week and a half of this, the male was going nuts CONSTANTLY moving. I still kept them separate for a bit after this, but then felt so bad for the poor guy that I opened up both their cages (they are in stacked boaphiles) and he went right up in with the female and curled up and went to sleep. Copulation attemps began shortly there after. Most of the following details from that point are in the other thread in response to your questions there, Trevor :)

Now, I am really looking forward to snakes coming out of eggs (probably not this year), but the whole live birth thing sure was exciting!

For all of those who like pics, I'm sure you'll get your full once these little ones have shed out :)

Thanks again all! I'll pass the good words on to the ones that did the work ;)
