Greetings all,
Here is a small video that I shot of one of my Hognose snakes feeding (notice "Family Guy" playing in the background :) LOL)
Just right-click the link and save the file to your hard-drive (it's small, only 2.5mb).
Enjoy!
Cheers,
Ryan

Edit: The video has since been removed from the web, I hope everyone got a chance to look at it.

That's actually my blood. Had nothing to do with the snake though, I must have banged my hand or something when I was moving the camera and the snake for that last shot.
I noticed it too and couldn't figure out where it came from, then I noticed my hand was bleeding a little bit when I put the snake back. Who knows.....
Female Hogs get larger than males. Females sometimes reach 36" and males usually top out at 18"ish.

No worries! That's what this site is for, right?
That snake is a male. He is just under two years and about 18" in length. The mouse was a standard sub-adult white mouse, I guess 2.5" not including tail.
By the way, that's how I feed all of my Hogs. They seem to feed so much better when I actually lower them in face-first (except it looks like he's gonna swallow his own tail there for a sec :)). I have never had a Hog refuse this way, they don't have much choice. Very easy to keep on schedule....

hmmm, must try that next time. He actually ate 2 times in a row! Last time he had 2 mouse pups (a little fuzz and ears open) and this time he decided he only wanted one! But he still ate. He only eats live, so I just drop it in his feeding bowl with him, and he takes over.
So he is "fully" grown then? If so then our male is about half way there, he is about maybe 9-10 inches long. He was about 6-8 inches long when we got him (at about 6months of age). In about 4 more months he will be 1 yr old (july)
