My female BP hasn't eaten for between 3 and 4 months. I'm not too worried because she is maintaining her weight and still looks and acts healthy. In the past, she has always accepted food all year(I don't cool her down in the winter) which is why i'm sort of puzzled. The only explanation I can think of is that she started rejecting food about the same time I changed the source from which I buy my rats and other prey items. I have noticed that the new rats have a different smell than the ones I used to get. My question is: Do you think this is just because it is winter, or do you think I should try switching back to the old rats that she is used to?

I'd say it's just winter, I don’t cool my ball and she still goes off eating as early as September, and normally doesn’t eat for me until may (ish) so I wouldn’t worry at all, I believe and this is just a theory of mine, but if there is a window in the room that snakes are kept in they can tell when the days are getting shorter and longer, so they go into a cycle even without cooling, I find this is true with mine, I don’t know about others, but so long as she isn’t loosing weight, I wouldn’t worry about it.

I'm with Devon, I have a handful of yearlings that I currently am not cooling, and they are almost all still off feed.
