the simple facts are that when ever the game has meant anything ottawa has never beaten the leafs
the leafs have defeated ottawa the last 4 of 5 seasons with the 1 season they never met

I agree with what you're saying, but i just wanted to point out, Home Ice Advantage was on the line, not the Division :D .. There was mere hopes of Winning the division.. Boston pretty much had it in the bag..

Boston played Saturday night too, so if your saying IF Ottawa won then you have to say IF Boston won Saturday and Sunday Ottawa would have placed 4th regardless, because Boston would have ended with 106 and Ottawa 104. So Matt was right in saying Ottawa was playing for home ice. But none of this really matters because The Leafs are bringing the cup back where it belongs.

chappy boston had played saturday afternoon and both teams new that NJ won
so had Ottawa showed up on saturday night and won they woulda had it
