11, count them 11 weeks since my male anery KSB has eaten!
My female Desert Rosy Boa's not much better. She's eaten once since the 10th of March. And tonight it doesn't look like the male is going to eat either.
Anyone else having Erycines blues?

Shouldn't they JUST be coming out of hibernation right now??

Neither were cooled. Both are too young. This is both their first winter. Roy has said in the past that KSB can go off food in the winter but this is a bit much.

Why is 5 weeks a bit much? And just because a snake isn't cooled, doesn't mean there aren't other triggers to cause fasting. Colubrids can be bred without any cooling at all, doesn't it stand to reason that a small temperate boid can get other triggers to fast during the winter/spring months?

Having said that, I hope its just a winter fast man. I'm sure she'll pick up again. Have you tried small and live?

5 weeks is a bit much I guess because up until now she has eaten like clock work every Tuesday.
As for the winter fast with out cooling I'm pretty sure that's what he's going through.
I've tried a couple of F/K pinkie rats last night with the Rosy Boas but they didn't take them. I'll try the same with the KSB soon.
Cheers,
Trevor
