View Full Version : What do your adults eat?
I can't believe I didn't really think about this before, but you know the general rule "feed a snake a meal that is 1-1.5 times the size of it's thickest part"? Well, since bloods get so thick, what do you feed them once they reach adulthood? Just big rats? I know this may sound dumb, and I'm sorry, but I was just thinking about if that rule applies to bloods or not. Will I ever need to feed mine a small rabbit or something (of course I mean once she becomes an adult)?
Thanks,
Jennifer

2-3 lb rabbits sounds perfectly reasonable for a big adult blood.
Well, that about answers my question then. Thanks guys. :) Oh yeah, was it hard switching from rats to rabbits, or do they even seem to like rabbits better?

How large is your black blood? I have a male, so I doubt he'll ever get big enough to warant feeding him rabbits.
