Hello, I bought some daygeckos this weekend, under the name "Dwarf Day Geckos". I have never heard of these guys before, and I have enough of a background in reptiles, that I thought i could give them a good home, dispite not researching before I bought. Anyways, I BELIEVE I have a pair, as there are very different patterns on the two, But I cannot find ANY information on these lizards.
They are each roughly 2 inches long, thats tip to tip. The one i THINK is male is brown, with 2 black stripes running each side of his spine, right downthe tail. He also has 2 stripes down his sides which converge with the others on the tail. The other, that i think is female, is the same size, but just brown, with a slightly grey/black molted look to her back. They both have yellow undersides, right from their Vent to thier front legs. Under their chin is cream coloured.
They are obvious day geckos, as they have round pupils, and are active duringthe day, showing no wish to hide at all. can anyone help me ID these little guys? I tried taking some pictures, but my digital camera SUCKS. All I could capture was a realy blurry one of ones undderside.
Thanks
Chris
