My snake has not pooped..!

I have had my snake (male colombian redtail boa) for almost a month now. It pooped 2 or 3 days after I got it. It has eaten twice after it's initial poop but still no poop. Should I be worried?

nothing to worry about, pour 3 or 4 inches of warm water in your bathtub and let him swim around, i can almost guarantee he will poop

how old is he and are you feeding it enough? Is it swollen around its cloaca?

It'll go when it has to. Mine has taken that long before.... No worries..

Derrick, when you say swollen do you mean a sudden drop in snake thickness between before the cloaca and after? Or red puffiness of the cloaca itself?

Swollen wouldnt imply a drop in thickness. here's what i mean

I just took these. I was going to use 2 different snakes to use to different snakes but as I was fishing another one out I heard he in action. These pic are of the same snake pre and post poop. I'm sure glad she waited until she was back in her enclosure

Go with the advice Jon D gave. Snakes aren't people, they don't poop all the time, and if they pooped between each meal we would surely end up severely underfeeding them. I have some snakes that go every few months. Babies obviously poop more, because their metabolism is quicker and they are eating more. 2 meals is no sweat, even for snakes that poop more regularily than large boids and are prone to constipation. With the exception of arboreals, boids rarely experience impaction problems, and if they do, it is usually related to substrate ingestion creating a blockage. I wouldn't bother stressing him out with a bath. He will go all in good time as long as he is kept properly ;)
