Hey, With any animal I keep I strive for for natural settings, its beautiful for us and (in my mind) essential to stimulate the animal in the same way it would be naturally.. its how they've evolved after all!

Here's the question! With my corn, what would you suggest I could use plant wise? I would most likely be inclined to use wood and bark chips as apposed to sand or sphagum. So i was hoping for alot of greenery to counteract this. What kind of greenery would they naturally encounter??
Thanks, Maya:D

Plastic greenery. LOL.

I agree natural set ups look great. But even if you are willing to put extra time into having one, a cornsnake will literally demolish any live plant you place in its enclosure. It will break the leaves, dig in the soil, etc. Plants also need bright lights for growing, and these aren't always appreciated by cornsnakes.

I would go for a natural looking substrate, tons of plastic plants IMHO. Even if you are willing to do extra work for live plants, you'll be buying new ones each week.
