I was out herping and look what I caught! This is really cool. Except that I'm afraid of this snake because it has two heads that might bite me. That doubles my chances of being bitten. I guess I'll have to make it a venomoid. What do you guys think?

Heh... Tanith, you might want to use message board commands from now on.

I saw the related thread on fauna but I'll chime in here and I'm truly curious... About how big is it? Did you collect and keep it or simply photograph it? If you kept it, how long have you had it, have you tried feeding it yet? The jaws look like they *might* be slightly connected, can each mouth open independant of the other or do they open simultaneously? Has it struck at you or prey? How was it's aim? Have you inspected the inside of it's mouth(s) yet? Was the dentation normal in appearance?

Very cool animal, no question there. I frown upon the idea of forcing twining in captivity (Something I have seen people discuss although I believe it's cost prohibitive and has never been put into practice) but to find an oddball in nature is always fascinating.

Thanks for sharing the picture.

Folks should really check the date when looking at news reports posted on April first. LOL This snake was caught in the wilds of a graphics image manipulation program. I do not honestly remember whether the original photo was of a captive or wild animal as I have photographed both. I seem to recall it was one of George Van Horn's CB young adults, but I have a lot of unlabelled EDB photos and I picked a random one to mess with.

Also everyone is invited to the ice skating and igloo warming party that will of course begin in Hell before I do a venomoid operation. :)
