I believe there's a virus of sorts which will change URLs written in emails and online. I know it's caused problems on other websites (A kingsnake ad that had the URLs for the photographs changed and a signature link on Fauna) and led to some embarassment for the person who posted such (through no fault of their own).
Test for it... Email yourself a couple dozen times with a website URL or hyperlink, see if it gets changed at any point. Similarly create a number of website posts and watch for changing URLs. Then, in all likelyhood, get yourself a good anti-virus program.

Any idea what the name of this virus is? It might come in handy when trying to figure out the problem. It just seems strange for a virus to change URLs on a password protected site.
The only way i could see it happening is if someone has your PW.. Perhaps running a virus scan is your best bet to start with.. Hopefully you have one on your system that is all up to date.. If not, you can try this one http://housecall.antivirus.com Hopefully this will find the root of your problem.. If it's not virus related, try changing your PW, if the problem still happens, perhaps there is something Jeff can do, im not sure though..

Do you logout everytime you leave the site?
If you're using the cookies feature of the site and you don't actually logout, you can end up staying logged in and then anybody coming to this site on the same computer after you will be able to access your profile, etc., because they'll essentially be logged in under your name...if you're using public computers and not logging out, who knows...
This is a trojan that went around a few weeks back. it is still being weeded out.
Update your virus protection and run a scan and you will get rid of it.
This thing made a mess of a lot of peoples emails. It would mask emails so you thought it was from someone you knew. But yet it was the virus playing tricks.
I hate these viruses..............

Nope, it's impossible that any other person is using my computer.
I believe it can really be some virus. I'll try to do something about it. Thanks for the replies.

It's not a virus, its adaware. It installs on your computer. Goto www.download.com and download Adaware.... It will remove any of these programs.
boo on Adaware... It leaves Adaware on your computer too!! Get 'Spybot Search And Destroy' instead..

I've had the same problem for a while now.

I'm confused. Everybody has different sugestions.
Spybot is good........Yu should have it no matter what
Adware is good but also ads things to your PC.......So it is ok but Spybot is better.
The Trojan that went around was doing this also. It had a auto form thing on them and it would ad in things like links to forms(AKA profiles)
Run these programs and you will be fine......
The bottom line is this....
You need a GOOD virus program and you need to scan your entire computer.
You also need something that removes spyware. Matt_K's suggestion is good. There are other free ones as well, and you can read user reviews. Try a place like downloads.com or something to check reviews.

Why would one of the Admins or Mods change his profile?? Not to mention changing it to a Adult content site?? We have a lot of younger members on here (Under 18) and a lot of them surf people's personal sites.. I don't think an admin or mod would have been the one to change Jimmy's profile and add that link..
Jimmy, download.com as Marisa said, has all the spyware removers for free, or atleast trials of them.. But on top of that, if you don't already have a good virus scan, you might wanna seriously look into getting one..

Exactly. We are supposed to be doing our best to prevent and monitor that sort of stuff, no reason or time for us to do that.

Heheheh i had to click on his website thing it is see through panties now :P
LOL I agree I do not think the admin or the Mods of this site would do that lol.
Let us know Jimmy how it goes....... I use AVG for my Virus Scan. It picks up stuff that Norton misses. I like it. I also use Spybot......Run them both about twice a week just in.case

Not for one second i ever thought a mod or admin would do that. What could be the point of that?
It's strange, but i scanned my computer (including internet files) and it did not detect any virus (?). Oh, well...i guess i will erase any weird URL that pops there for the time being, untill i get a way of terminating the problem for good.

Did you manage to grab yourself a copy of Spybot Search and Destroy?
If not, here's the link: http://www.safer-networking.org/
Use the updates option to grab all the new patterns, but you might have to wait until late at night to get them, as it gets congested during the day sometimes.
Hope you get rid of your weird little virus/bot.

adaware hasn't left any spyware on my system Matt. I also use CWShredder which works very well as well. Stinger is also a good program that removes trojans and other spyware applications..

I downloaded Spybot. Then, used the program to detect all that was spyware related, it found a bunch of stuff on that (i was surprised). After that i clicked to remove it all...and it did.
So please, please, please...can someone tell me WHY I NOW HAVE A WEBSITE CALLED PORN-CLIPS.COM ?????

Spybot will pick up adaware as spyware. The reason is that adaware as a scripting to it that advertises itself and self updates....Well I think that is the reason.
