the temp is 85 F day and 78 F night and humidity is 48% should i make any changes

Yeah, your hotspot should be 90F and the cool side....actually, 78F on the cool side is just fine.
48% humidity works. But I've never measured humidity, so I can't really tell you what the rnage should be.

hehe Jeff you should do us all a favor and check your humidity as your the resident JCP king.
As far as humidity goes I found that when mine was at 50% thier poops and urates were on the dry side and they went longer between poops. I got them bigger water dishes and got the humidity back over 60% and things went back to normal.
I dont have much experience with JCPs(5-6months) but thats what I've noticed so far.

Thanks Derrick i just check the humidity and its at 60 now ill try to keep it there. thanks for the help ill try to get a pic for everyone as soon as i can

LOL, Derrick, I don't even own a hygrometer. My theory is that if the cage is constructed "properly" (heh heh), one does NOT need to measue humidity.
If I ever get a hygrometer, I'll post the findings.
