How do you put holes in the plastic tupperware tops to use for waterdishes? and also wheer is the best place to put a thermometer probe?
Water dishes don't require holes, I would think that you would want the water to stay in? Put the thermostat probe where the snake will be, those are the temps you're most interested in.

Scissors. (the hole is in the lid, not the base, lol...)

I use an "exacto-knife" to cut holes in lids and a soldering pencil to burn holes in the sides of bins.

Oh, by the way--use GladWare...those things are great. They stain or wear out, you toss them, but they last a long time. And the lids are MUCH easier to cut. :)
I use deli cups. I use a lighter and burn an appropriate sized hole in the center of the lid. This way the edges are well rounded, (not pretty though, the holes are never a perfect circle by any means and the edges are sometimes discoloured). For the side of bins, I use a soldering iron or a 4 mm ball burr.

ok thanks. for the probe i didn't know that everyone puts the probes in the bin because it is kind of a hassle to have to take the probe out every time i poull the bin out.
