Hi all...

I was just wondering if those of you with pinstripe cresties could post some pics?

I can't find a lot of pics out there...

If you go to the herp gallery section about half way down the page you will see a member named youkai if you go in her gallery there is a section labled doug's gecko's # 44 and # 18 are almost full pinstripes hope you enjoy the pics.

I'm going to check out Youkai's in a sec....

So the 'pinstripe' is lightened fringe along the back? Is it also along the back legs like in your second pic?

Pinstriping refers to the white striping running down the back of the gecko, on each dorsal crest.

As for the white along the back of the legs, that's actually called the "white fringe" trait. Many Crested Geckos have that, not just pinstripes.

I guess one of my cresteds just has a bit of the white fringe on the hind legs then.

anyone have pictures of normal crested geckos...theirs so many different kinds and colors I have not a clue what a normal phase looks like! lol

"Normal" usually refers to "buckskin" or plain tan colored geckos with virtually no pattern. From what I've been told, back when Cresties first hit the herp scene, that was pretty much the majority. A friend of mine said he paid $2,000 for his first Crested Gecko and it was tan with a few black specks.
