I posted a picture of me female het-albino a few days ago, after she had eaten a small/moderate meal (actually a few days previous to the picture). She looked pretty slim and I was saying that I wasn't very optimistic about her producing anything this year. Here's the picture:

Tonight, I found something that almost looks like ovulation... I'm no expert, but she's swelled up and I didn't feed her again(in pre-shed). She's also laying on her side and almost looks dead (looks likes she's in pain or something). I don't know for sure since I have never witnessed ovulation other than pictures I saw online. Anyways, here are two pictures I just took:

What does it look like to you? Let me know what you all think. This would be my first year breeding Ball Pythons and I have to confess, I'm quite anxious about it :) Hopefully we'll be seeing to white & yellow babies!

Thanks for your opinion,
Bristen.

It doesn't look like it there but I'm no expert either. But I can tell you if you see ovulation in balls it's unmistakable. Unlike my carpets where I wasn't sure on one of them and it indeed turned out to actually be ovulation the balls are extremely noticable looks like they're gonna blow:D

She looks a little small to reproduce, but it might be possible. She's obviously in opaque, so see if her positioning changes after she sheds.
She doesn't really look to ovulating yet, but she might be building up for it. Occasionlly small females, will have little clutches of 4 eggs or so.
Be looking for her to get noticeably bigger in the middle fairly suddenly, and to continue resting in an inverted position.

It's the pic Roy. She's actually a big girls, well over 4'. We weighed here in the fall and she was 1500+. A little light for her lenght actually.
Bristen,
You'll know for sure if after she shed she stays on the heat and stays inverted.
I found Togo this morning looking like she ovulated too. I thought she already did but I'll have to check my records.
Good luck,
Trevor

It looks like she maybe building up for ovulation...............so she's still letter her follicles mature. Hopefully she'll ovulate in a month or so.

I'll keep my eyes on her and see what happens. I'll keep everyone posted if I see anything interesting. Hopefully she'll just be late but still produce :)

ps: Trevor, she's currently just under 1500g.. she lost a few grams during winter. I think I'm pushing the limits a bit. I'd be quite happy with 4 eggs though, good odds of having an albino if I can get 4 eggs to hatch :-)

Thanks for replying everyone!
Bristen.

Hi Scott,

she's apparently 3 years old and has never been bred before.

Thanks,
Bristen.
