Looks like some pretty bad scarring, but other than that, it's a sweet looking snake Simon!

As per Ken's comment. The nose rub scars are quite common to WC specimens (I'm assuming it is one? being from Angus) as they are not used to being "housed" so they constantly look to escape thus the "rubs". I would watch the wound by its right eye closely though just in case (you don't need a secondary infection to get into its eye, that'd suck). Other than that great looking snake Simon, good closeups. Mark
Thanks all!
GulfCoastherper (Scott),
Yes Angus does have a web site. His web site is at http://www.probreeder.com
Oh man...thoe Jap Forest Rats are something that I want too..but for now I am not going to play with more wc animals. I am already having enough snakes for one month now...(just added 120 snkaes into my collection....lol)
Ken & Mark,
Yup you two are definately right. That's a pretty bad scare if you ask me. That's why I am taking them to a vet to have a check up on them and see if there are anything that I can do to 'make them feel at home more' The good thing is that the vet is a certified reptile vet. So I hope that they're going to be parasite free and scar free (and yes they are wc animals)
Thanks all for those great comments!!
Hope that these will do well for me!

Beautiful snake Simon!
Those are kick butt snakes.
A ton of luck with all those new guys. We tried our hand at Gonyo's, but as usual, got RI's and died, taking along with them several corns, and a baird's ratsnake. Please be EXTREMELY careful with cross contamination.
Those are absolutely gorgeous snakes, the whole lot of them. Once bitten twice shy, I have tried to keep the chinese beauties and carinata alive (all WC's), but I got several sudden deaths, one impaction and one huge case of mouth rot that seemed to happened over night. These are tricky snakes. The only advice I have is moss, cool temps, and PLENTY of solitude, plus lots and lots of water. Dehydration is a big killer of these animals.
Katt,
Thanks for all those advice
Yeah I too think that dehydration is a great problem for these guys. That's why I am 100% sure that they have water all the time. I hate to see a dehydrated frenata....hahah
I do hope that they're goign t be fine~
They are separated from the other corn collection. But even so I still hope that they're not going to spread anything out~~
Thanks again!
What Vanan did with the Gonyo's was water them by hand every day from a sprayer. They took well to it, but I think that too much humidity without enough ventilation created a bacteria laden environment.
They don't always seem to recognize standing water.
Katt,
You're right. I do notice that too.
So I too sprey them every other day. I don't do it every day cause I don't want to stress them out too much. I think that they like it...(not sure though..if I was the snake and a huge monster comes to me and spray water at me every other day I wont be too happy....lol) but at least I see them drink from the droplets of water.
The 100 flower is always making a mess for me...cause they require higher humidity I do water it every day...but the cleaning of the bedding is a real pain in the butt......oh well~~
Hey Simon,
Are you using aspen for substrate?

Good Luck with them all Simon. I'm too hesitant to snag any of these Killer snakes myself due to the WC factor. I think Ron got the Mandrins at the Calgary show that I was humming & hawing about over for a while LOL It's againest my morals (but lets not go there & yes I can be a hypocrit too) but I'm more worried about the risk of new disease etc. as mentioned by Katt. Even with strick quarantine I worry about cross contamination etc. & the WCs just don't seem to do so good more often than not. Be sure to let us all know once you get them breeding in captivity as we will all be pestering you lots come that time LOL Good Luck Mark
Mark,
LOL...thanks!
Yeah I know hey~
I really hope that nothing is going to happen at all. So I am keeping all my windows open so that air circulation would be good~
But hey...all snakes has to go through these steps before they become captive right? I guess that I am just being the first few doing the risk~
Lets just all hope that nothing is going to happen~~
