Well, with all that's happened to poor Orion in the past few days, you'd think that he wouldn't want to eat anything for at least two weeks. But it seems I got lucky and picked a good snake! I was thawing out a couple of medium-sized mice for him cause the vet said to feed him if he wanted to eat because he'd need the energy to get better even though it's just a surface scratch. On a whim I decided I'd thaw out one of the rat pups I'd gotten too to see if he'd eat that after _two_ mice, because after he's eaten that many he's usually really cruising around his cage looking for more. So when the second mouse was almost all the way down, I just reached in there and put the rat head against the mouse but, and he kindof stopped for a minute and teethed at the rat a bit to figure out what it was, and I figured, aah well he's gonna figure out my game and spit the thing out. But I got lucky, and he figured that he was hungry enough to eat something as disgusting as a rat:rolleyes: . So yay! He's slightly bulgy and he certainly wasn't cruising around his cage for any more food after that meal! :p Now I finally won't feel guilty about making him wait the whole week/five days for his next meal! :p
Yay! :-)
Yay! :-)
