hi, I'm just wondering how big I should feed my ball python, I just got him last week adn will be attempting his first feed soon
my other snakes are baby corn and baby king, so they're on pinkies, but this guy is OBVIOUSLY too big for a pinkie, so I don't know where to start with him
he's 141g and 21"
thanks in advance
Ball pythons are too big out of the egg to be given a pinkie, unless you have 12 or so sitting around. For a 141g ball, I would try a 25g-ish rat fuzzy, maybe even as large as a 35-40g hopper.

alright, I got an adult mouse from the store today (they only had adult rats, so I did a mouse this time) and he demolished it, I put it in his feeding box and closed the lid and heard a thump, it didn't even take him 1 minute
Good, but I would steer clear of mice, the longer you wait to get him over to rats, the harder it's going to be. Good luck. P.S. I hope you didn't throw a live mouse in there.

ft mouse, they don't have any rats available that are small enough for him at Petco, I have heard that the other store in the area has small rats, so I'll see how "small" they are...petco's rats were too big though
