I know there has to be some of you out there.. Anyway, i had this sent to me today by a friend of mine.. It's all the fights from the Philly/Ottawa game a couple weeks back.. It's 4 minutes of pure fun!!! Have a look if you're not weak at heart :D

LOL, when has it changed??? Look at some games from the past.. There was more fighting back then, compared to now.. More people cheer for a fight then a goal these days..

I didnt know that, i always thought there was much less fighting back then..like 60's 70's, im downloadin the vid now..im excited!

Actually it's not the "face off and drop your gloves" fighting that bugs me.

It's the cheap shots like what was in the news. Any cheap shots or ambush tactics should result in ejection from the sport and criminal charges.

But if two guys want to square off, go for it.

(Plus I just wanted to give the thread a nice boost of friendly conflict :) )

LOL.. i agree 100% on the 'sucker punches'.. I wont get on the Big Bert issue, cause well, i dont wanna get into that.. Let's leave that in the past.. But when two 'goons' get together on the ice and shed the gloves, you have to admit, it really gets the fans into the game and there is nothing more exciting.. (in hockey)

Awesome video bro, I think both teams are pissed because they both only have what like 3 weeks of hockey until next year?

I love seeing goalies go at it to man, like everyone else the cheapshots don't do anything for me, but the face to face scraps thats the shiznit.

Neil fought a 2nd line forward with no Grit.. There was a big write up about that.. Martin put out a grind line against a scoring line to pick fights.. typical of Ottawa though :D

Hey we should get some pics of the lindros fight against thornton when he broke his cheek bone. That was a good fight.

The fight when Chara rag dolled Mccabe was pretty funny, he looked pretty scared to me...then again I would be terrified if a giant was tossing me around.

Who ever heard of hockey without fighting? Not me....I was on the ice at age 8 beating kids butts! Haha....its just a natural instinct to fight when your on the ice/rink:)

It should be natural instinct to have fun when you're on the ice.. especially for younger kids.. Checking and fighting shouldn't be hockey until you're atleast 15.. Atleast then, the kids are old enough to understand the dangers of hitting from behind and they're strong enough on their skates to take a hit as well as throw one properly..

I totally agree, little kids dont know what their doing...they can injure someone easily..these guys know exactly what their doing (somtimes their emotions dont but hey)

I also agree with the sucker punches..thats exactly what don cherry said, if two guys are willing to scrap..WHO CARES :) i dont!

I disagree, hitting should be taught at a very early age so they know how to give and more importantly take a check. I have been playing for 11 years now and I know for a fact that my first year of contact was a total shock.

To the point, holy crap that was one awsome fight, there needs to be more of them lol.

Matt I'm not saying it shouldnt be fun. Because by all means it should ONLY be fun at that age. I'm just sayin I was a very aggresive skater and player and did not take crap:) AT ALL! I still am to this day very aggresive in hockey...in any sport I play in fact. WHich is why I started Wrestling:)

Why hate admiting you like that fighting is fun as hell to watch. Like boxing i love to watch and box im in a fight club and its fun there watchin fights and fighting.
