Large scale breeding

Has anyone here had a large scale breeding operation?

Are there any precedents or agricultural laws for rat breeding in Canada?

I'm factoring a breeding facility into my house hunting, so I'm going to have to do some research anyway, but figured it would be worth starting here.

Since it will be rats, quail, and rabbits I'll definitely have to buy rural property at the least :) By-laws won't even let me near the suburbs. hehe

They can still get you in a rural area. We had to apply for a zoning variance to allow a "kennel" on our property. I cannot figure out how breeding rodents qualifies us for a kennel but according to the city, that's what we are running
