Prey Size .....You Pick!!

Ok youve got a 2 foot BP and youve got two prey items to choose

a small rat thats 5 1/4" long nose to butt, and is bout 1 1/2 times as thick as the BPs thickest part.
Youve also got a large mouse thats 3 inches long and a little less thick than your BP.

Wich would you pick?

1. Weight is a more meaningful measure in these discussions (when's the last time your physician based the amount of medication to give you on how long you are?).

2. I'd decide between the two prey items based on what the snake preferred; what my plans were for that snake in the future; and what good quality food source available to me was most reasonably priced.

3. Not knowing anything but what you've told us, I'd choose the rat, just like everybody else. But, for instance, if your snake was 2 feet long and just skin and bones because it refused to eat rats, then the choice would be meaningless.

So far no good, now that Ive actualy put the rat inside his cage theres no doubt he can take it down, I made sure I thawed it out in a zip lock bag with a mouse, and I rubbed the mouse all over the rat. But so far hes sniffed it a bit and thats it. Ill let you guys know if he takes it or not (lets hope he does)
