I was watching him eat today, and had him out so i snapped some pics. I love him, deffinetly best reptile i own, but i dont play favourites :p The crix were knocked out because they were in my garage for like an hour, but they quickly warmed up and left that platform while they stil had a chance :)

Yea he just finished sheding like a couple days ago. That tank will be outgrown, probably, in the next 6-7 months if what people are saying. THey tell me they get full grown in a year..at the moment he has TONS of space..but its a 5x1.8x1.8 tank...im gonna build a 6x2x2.5 or 3...ill see when that time comes. I might even sell this tank...who knows :)

Your sav looks great! Makes me miss mine even more. Unfortunately the day before I started university, I was faced with an unexpected ultimatum which forced me to give mine up. I didn't want to just give him to anyone, so I contacted Josh Feltham at Reptilia and luckily he was looking for a male for captive breeding purposes. I haven't got a chance to go visit again yet, but hopefully once my exams are over I will. Here's a couple pics of him. He was close to 4 ft at one year old.

(Just a note, it looks like it was sand on the bottom, but really the substrate was layered with soil, peat, a small layer of sand (second on bottom) and then a layer of turf just in case. These were taken on a day when he decided to rip everything apart in the enclosure, so I took the opportunity to do a substrate change.)

Hope you like the pics!

Bartman: My name is Adam Poole. Josh may or may not remember me. It's been awhile since I donated my sav to him. I think it was in the Fall of 2002. You're lucky to live close to such an awesome place! I'm not that far away (half hour drive), but I don't get many opportunities for road trips nowadays. Hopefully near the end of April I will get there again. For the sake of saving a long written description of myself, here's a pic of me at work.
