Different snake, different size. I have a 3yr old bp that is about 4ft long. While someone else's could be 5ft, or even 3ft.

My 2 year old bp is either 3 feet or just under. I know mine didn't eat for a while before I got him, but he has mostly been eating ok since, and has grown quite a bit.

I have a 2 year old male BP that I just measured yesterday at 40 inches. He has had steady growth and has just slowed down.

There is no 'average size' as all balls grow at different rates, depending on many things; size of food, type of food, rotation of feeding, genetics, etc.

The only way you can truly know the age of a snake is if you were there when it hatched or was born.

If there is a bunch of different numbers (snakes) of the same data type (size), there is indeed an average. Its a mathematical impossibility to not have one.

But is the average data useful? Depends....

Um, yeah. Good point.

Ha ha, Mykee. I was just ribbin' ya. I do agree that the "avergage data" probably isn't too useful for us, but maybe for a newbie it is. You know, kind of a guideline for them to look for? I don't know. Maybe not.
