Is anyone else like me, and loves making their own decor for their herps?

Personally I can't get enough of making my own stuff. I enjoy it, and it's so much more cheaper than buying it.

My most recent creation ( shoulda taken pics as I did it but alas, I didn't)

the sand on the base is solid. Any "drips" will be removed before entering the leo cage. (it's still drying at the moment ) So there is absolutely no chance of the leo ingesting the sand.

What do ya'll think?

It's a multifunctional decor. It's a hide, they can climb on it, it is very stable.

How much would you expect to pay for an item like this? Just curious.

I could see it going in a pet store for $20 - $30.

Very crafty, nice :)

Some of the stuff like that (fake plant mounted on a log, etc.) one of the guys at the pet store admitted to me were made by someone else.. about $15 if I remember correctly. I did the same thing for my own leo and it looked great (would have been a lot cheaper had I been able to collect the wood outside :p ).

Looks great, What did you use to keep it all "together". Stuff like this makes me wish i was more creative.

Oh, that looks amazing. Good work!

I once used aquarium silicon and painted it on a gladware box. I than put sand all over it. It looked much better as a naturalistic moist hide for my leos. I also put a piece of drift wood in front of it. You could barely notice that there was a plastic box sitting in there.
