landscaping ??

being that there are so many landscapers on the site:

I am going to airate my lawn and lay down seed and scotts atarter fertilizer. I know not to apply the fertilizer with crabgrass preventer. but in late spring you are supposed to appl fertilizer wi9th weed control should i not apply this also??

Why not get rid of the lawn and replace it with something more suitable for herp habitat, such as perennial ground cover or even just tall grass:-)
