I'm going to be getting 2 new Ball pythons and I don't want to spend the money to setup 2, 50 gallon tanks. I'd like a rubbermaid with a large floor space and a bit of height on it. So I was wondering what was a commonly used rubbermaid.

Also these two ball's I'm picking up are going to be my first attempt at breeding. There only going to be 3 - 4 months so I'll have 2 years atleast to read and learn what I need to know about breeding. I allready picked up the Sutherland DvD on how to breed Ball pythons. But what is a good rubbermaid to use for breeding?

The tub I found (which sounds like it would meet your needs to) is actually a sterilite. I'm not home right now so I don't know the model number but it cost $7.82 US at Wal-Mart. It is about 3' long, 15-18" deep & about 18" high. A lot of people say to keep them in 6" high "under the bed" type tubs, but I find that mine uses the space to climb. I have a log in there that she can climb up and she makes use of it every day.

That sounds about right to me as well... My ball is in a 50 gallon tank and doesn't often climb, but frequently enough that i'd feel bad limiting her to 6" or less of headroom.

I would not recommend a full-sized rubbermaid for 4 month old balls. They very well might become stressed and may stop eating. I would recommend a smaller rubbermaid, when I have balls under 500g, which I'm assuming yours are, I've always used the ones measuring 10x14x6, not sure of the model # as I don't have any around right now. If you'd like something bigger, maybe the 4606; it's a 14.7 gallon rubbermaid measuring 10x17.5x26. Be sure to put in adequate hides to avoid further stress. Good luck.
