Newborns generally are 6g. They gain weight quite quickly and I've had them be 8g by the second day, third at the latest.

No, they're a little smaller than hopper mice. Newborns are usually 6g, which is the equivalent of small fuzzy mouse. I find that mice fuzzies range from about 6-10g, so rat pinks are similar in size to mice fuzzies.
