Eyelash Viper @ Zoo today

I love seeing these two there! I saw them last time. They have a wicked amazing set up and they always seem to be up in the corner almost out of sight of people. Smart snakes! lol. Anyways here is photos of the one that was more easily seen today:

Hey Matt- These guys are near the Dart Frogs....their enclosure is exactly the same so it almost makes you think no snake is in there....

And these two at the zoo are stunning. The other one which I couldn't get a photo of was SOLID yellow with no orange coloring what so ever. It was just amazing looking.

Marisa, glad you enjoyed seeing the eyelash vipers at the zoo. That was a great picture of the male. I'm the keeper who looks after those snakes in the Americas pavilion and I set up the exhibit. I appreciate the compliment,its always nice when people notice the exhibits,we go to alot of trouble to set them up as natural as possible. You're right the female is really nice,she's a little bigger than the male and in another year should be ready to breed. Who knows,next time you come we may have babies. Regards Grant

Grant- Well you do an awesome job over there! The enclosures are amazing.

Jordan- Yup, I always see one up there too!

Kinda neat visiting time after time and knowing where certain animals usually are in the exhibits.

When I went last summer I got a very good pic of the yellow eyelash! :) Only thing is that it was with a regular cam... i'll try to get it scanned to show here.
