Hey Trev try outside this summer on a sunny day (high shutter speed) you should get better results. I know it is a pain to try and get good shots (I have the same prob with mine) I got a pretty good idea what she looks like. I bet she goes through color change every night right after sunset. A very fine looking female shoud make for interesting parings.

I find that lots of light does a good job.
