I've lost the site where there is a list of edible flowers and leaves that I can feed my redfoot.
Can anyone help me out?
thanks so much

I am not sure that anyone has compiled a list as such, but you can start with nasturniums, pansies, hibiscus, and dandelion (and the leaves of the latter two)....just make sure that anything you use is completely free of herbicides (weed killers) and pesticides.
My redfoots get a wide variety of fruits, veggies, and occasional earthworms as well as nasturniums, pansies, and dandelion (I cannot grow hibiscus to save my life, for some reason).
You also cannot go wrong with any information you find on this site: http://www.tortoisetrust.org

I believe most orchids are inedible (besides, why on earth would you want to feed something as rare, delicate, beautiful...and expensive, as an orchid?). I seem to remember something about avoiding gardenias, but I have no idea about bougainvillea at all.

Toirtis -about the orchids (got a chuckle out of your statement!) I only have a baby redfoot and oodles of orchids....they won't stop blooming for me! I should go into business!LOL I just thought a flower here or there is no big deal.
have a great day

What about World Chelonian Trust. They always have excellent articles and they had a nutritional analysis list of various foods for turtles.
Cheers,
JJ;)
