i have determined double j was right it is a red leg infetion, i have one dumpy showing all the signs, one cuban showing the signs and one cuban NOT showing signs, i bought 3 rubbermaids one for each and i read alot of info on red leg and decided im going to try to use a 2 percent iodine solution to try and cure this. i would prefer to use tetracycline but i have tried everywhere i i cannot find an oral form of it, please i need suggestions here. what more can i do

one more question, how contageous is it should i get the tank out of the room with my other frog tanks?

It is VERY contagious... get those frogs out of your frogrom.... they should also have their own feeding cup or feeding bag, and you should get a mister from the dollar store for use in their rubbermaids.
Tetracyline... when I dealt with redleg... it was from some Xenopus laevis that Ibought at a fish auction. They were already inflicted when I purchased them... as their legs went red within hours of getting them home. I used teracycline... but I did not give it orally. Instead, I dissolved the powdery contents of a tertracycline tablet in water.... and gave the frogs tetracycline baths. The problem is that this is not a strong enough treatment regimen from my experience. They should actually be treated with metronidazole, and IM Baytril injections. I can't remember the concentrations of the drugs or the amounts..but I will look it up and get back to you. Do a search on the web... and you may find something.
