well my very young boa is quite the snob and turns his nose up at anything dead. any ideas on how to get him to eat pre-killed/thawed mice? it is unbelieveably hard to get live pinky mice aorund here.
I'm surprised he's even eating pinky mice period. When they are born they can start feeding on hopper mice and rat pinks. Try something larger and don't go straight to f/t, but start with stunned, then once he taked that try a fresh killed item and dangling it (even break its nose a little to make it bleed so it gets more scent out) in front of your snake while he's in his hide. You can also try braining the prekilled prey item and leaving it in a small dark box with the snake overnight. If these methods fail you can also try methods of teasefeeding and startle tactics (these don't work on timid animals).
