I'v e been herping bexas county for years and have always had luck flipping there this time of year. Some snake species you may encounter just to name a few are, Desert kings,tx patchnose, flat head snakes, western coachwhips, earth snakes,tx rats, atrox. Your best bet will be to find some old unused fields with AC in them. I have had great luck in flipping debris in fields out there. Good Luck-Scott

Thanks. I'm going in August. I hope to go to Eisenhower and Friedrich park. I had no such luck with snakes; the place is crawling with mediterranean geckos, anoles, and tree lizards though (oh yea and cockroaches at night;)). Any interesting mammals? I've only been there three times, but this time I will look for more species. I will hopefully get some pics before the end of summer.
