Ok, I've had 3 batches of eggs. One batch I am thinking are all dud's.

2 batches of eggs are white, firming, nicely shaped. ( looking to be good eggs to me )

1 batch, the eggs are smaller, and are looking a bit yellowish, not as firm.

I'm wonderring bout that batch. Does that sound like an infertile batch?

That batch is from Lizzie, my german giant. I never saw her mate with the male, I saw the male try to mate her, but there is a HUGE size diffrence and from the tries I saw, he was not able to align "things" properly.

Do you think I'm right in assuming they never completed the deed and Lizzie's eggs are infertile?

Would pics help? If so, the flash won't bother the developing embryo's will it?

TIA :)

If they were mine i would keep them until i knew 100%. The eggs don't look too bad to me. After the first week you should be able to candle them to tell if they are infertle or not. Good Luck let us know how it turns out.

I agree with Drewlowe...keep the eggs until you know for sure. We don't candle our eggs as usually we can tell without moving the eggs at all. But I would keep them....even the worst looking eggs can surprise you and still hatch. We have had very deflated eggs before, and eggs that look yellow or have condensation spots and they still hatched healthy babies.

Good luck with them, hope they hatch for you!

BTW: If you are going to be selling Kyomi's babies, please let me know....I would like one from Wilma's Line :)
