not speaking from personal experience, but i doubt those are ticks. They're most likely reptile mites and if you search the forums you'll find out how to treat them. good luck!
Do a search on "Nix" and you'll get a slew of threads on the subject. Don't bother pulling them off one by one, treat then as a whole, that would be like eating your cereal one Cheerio at a time, without a spoon.

Actually, that does sound like Ticks.
Assuming you got ALLL of each tick out, the redish/pink spot is usually there because 1) there was a big tick in there sucking out blood, which you can only assume would leave a mark. and/or 2) there is an infection.
if i were you i would begin putting some betadine creme or virosan solution on and around the areas where the ticks were removed.
Also, check your snake over regularly and thoroughly for more ticks.
if any type of secondary infection occurs, definately take it to a vet.
Goodluck!
Next time buy a CB !!

I suggest doing what grant said and also treating the enclosure with provent a mite. it doesn't just kill mites, it kills most insects (i don't know how it works on roaches though). READ the instructions on the can at least 3 times.
